Networking symposium for young group leaders in Chemistry
Do you know your fellow assistant professors in the Netherlands? What are they working on?
Are you interested in collaborating with them? Where will you apply for your next round of funding?
The NextGenChem@NL 2017 symposium aims to bring together the future group leaders in chemistry. For the fourth time in the Netherlands, we are organising a meeting specifically targeted to young faculty (assistant professors, tenure trackers, VENI/VIDI laureates).
A scientific meeting where participants will have an opportunity to briefly present his/her research, with ample time for discussion. A creative environment to exchange scientific ideas and career experiences. During the afternoon an interactive panel session will be held to discuss topics ranging from diversity in science, tenure track policies and the future of chemistry in The Netherlands. At the end of the symposium, there will also be time for networking within a social setting.
In short, a symposium full of opportunities to create and strengthen the ties with your colleagues in the field.
Assistant professors, tenure trackers, VENI/VIDI laureates in the first five years of their faculty position working in the field of chemistry, including (but not limited to):
- Chemical Biology
- Organic Chemistry
- Soft Matter
- Supramolecular Chemistry
- Systems Chemistry
NextGenChem@NL 2017 will take place in Utrecht on June 2nd 2017. The symposium is free of charge and includes lunch and the drinks for the networking event. More information about location and accommodation can be found here.
